The United States Coast Guard brought me here in the sixties and I knew it was paradise!  Forest, dunes, mountains, ocean!  The Southern Oregon Coast  is diverse in opportunities for outdoor pleasure.  The famous Dunes Golf Resort is located south of Coos Bay and we have our own "Horsefall"  Dunes popular with ATV's north of us. Oregon State Marine Biology Institue is located in the Charleston Basin.  We are fortunate to have Southwestern Community College that provides us  with the popular  Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, as well as countless other opportunities.
